Fire Restrictions Effective July 2
Fire and woodcutting restrictions will go into effect on July 2 on and around the Plumas National Forest (public land). Until the weather pattern changes to a cooling trend, usually later in the fall, these restrictions will remain in place.
Similar restrictions have gone into effect on the Tahoe National Forest on June 11. The Lassen National Forest will also be going into fire restrictions on July 2. Information about private land fire restrictions that went into effect on June 4 may be found at
