I was told by amber that the reason the Pipejam closed is because it goes through SPI ground. She also commented that SPI is sick of everybody tearing up there ground and they are not allowing any trespass.

Amber is correct, and PipeJam does go across 643 acres of SPI land that they bought in 2000.   But ...  the road across that land was on a 1968 map a USFS MAINTAINED ROAD,  and on a 1999 map an OHV Vehicle Route.  Discussions ensue   ;D

SPI is actually pretty accomodating, though wouldn't we all get tired of picking up washing machines and computer moniters that people just go out and toss.  The best we can do for them is to not create problems for them, yet at the same time, they have land with roads that have a long history of use that are legal for us to use.  They do close gates to protect their roads in the muddy season, but they put up very few "No Trespassing" signs, if any.  Tread Lightly is a good guideline not just for public lands, but for maybe even more important for private land our roads pass through.
