Sierra Trek 2007 canceled

Due to fire restrictions on the Fordyce trail this years Sierra Trek is canceled.

This is / was the Cal4Wheel Associations largest event as well as the largest contributor to their budget.

Too bad, its one of the greatest trails, and a fun event.

Sierra Trek canceled in light of new restrictions

JULY 9 — I would like to thank all of the committees that have spent many hours on Sierra Trek 2007. After reviewing all possibilities the decision was made by a review committee to cancel Sierra Trek. I will schedule a follow up meeting for later in the year, before the January meeting.

Please share this information with all members of your committee and anybody else.

     Ken, I hate to see the Trek cancelled, but i understand the Fire Danger. One of my sons friends, his name is Clay works on the trek every year. Hopefully we will get plenty of rain and snow this next year. I hope to go on the Trek this coming year. Talk to you later. Kessler/Jerry.
