Philbrook 3/29

Me and a couple others are heading into Philbrook for the day.  We have pretty mild rigs, mostly 33's & 35's, so nothing gnarly, just the road pretty much to the boatlaunch.  Post up if you want to go.  Plan is to meet at Chucks Place at about 7:45 AM.

We went.  We cut a hole in the lake to fish, and found another 4 feet of slush, not water.  Snow was "drive anywhere" in the AM, changing to "sink everywhere" in the afternoon.  We went out Butte Meadows way, which turned out to be the most fun.  It was nice to get off the snow superhighway.

I needed to get stuck to try out my new winch scheme - a portable HF winch.  It did the job once I got the thing's clutch tightened right.

I've got a ham radio test this Saturday, and I need Friday to study, then Easter stuff after that.  I'm looking at next week or weekend.  But I am antsy...  New post time?

Day has been set.  Friday night wheeling trip leaving through Paradise.

The following weekend is NCC Casino night at the Bambi Inn.  Run during the day and then Casino night to raise money for Wheeln’ with the Cops, Dinner too.
