Re-using the blown down trees.

I saw this thread on Pirate and thought this is a great idea to help clean up the mess from the wind storm. They cut the downed trees into manageable pieces to be used for projects on the Rubicon.  I have not been up to the HL yet but if it is anything like Phillbrook, there is more than enough to go around.

Any suggestions where fences need to be built? I have a bit of rebar left over from last year......

Yes, 16 to 18 inches, and delivered to Magalia (address on request)   I prefer Tamarac, or oak  but anything will do.

On a more serious note...  Darryl,  what length works best for fencing material ?

We do have a need for long (6 feet plus) cedar....  for split rails,  other than that, and MY firewood,  I don't know of other uses.

I'd like to see a downfall "fence" around the base of the "rock garden" near Hurricane Ridge / "oil pan alley".

High enough that rock rigs doesn't think that is yet another obstacle, on their way up the rock garden, which is off-limits ie: closed.

Red carsonites are hard to deal with in that rock.
